Progress on Chapter 2 pt.2

Hello!

Work on the second chapter is progressing rapidly, which I'm very happy about.  I don't have much to show you this time, but the news is still interesting.

Here are the stats for those who are too lazy to read the whole post.

Statistics (some categories have been cut)
Plot - 90
Gameplay - 35%
Models - 50% (we'll discuss this later, lol)
Music and sounds - 0%
Cutscenes - 0%
Final gameplay - 0% (we'll discuss that too, lol)

And now some more information about each statistic.

In my game the story is of utmost importance, so writing it is a priority for me. The structure of the story is ready, but I still need to tweak it. I think you realize that it may look good on paper, but not so much in the game.  It usually takes me a few weeks to finish a script, but I think it will take less time for the second chapter.

Gameplay work is the hardest for me because I spend 90% of my time thinking about scripts and 10% testing. But the situation with the second chapter was unique. It took me about three months while working on the first chapter to create universal scripts that would make my life easier. I've also said in previous posts that I'm reworking the mechanics with this goal in mind. Work on the gameplay in chapter two is progressing much faster. I already have concepts for all the puzzles, boss fights. What? Boss fights? Oops, was that a spoiler? Anyway. I said in a previous post that I would show you gameplay, but I think it's too raw, so it needs to be polished.

Models. This is a whole different genre of humor in my game. As you know, I really need an artist to work with 2d and 3d. And since I have not found one yet, I have to work with what I have. Some ideas have been scrapped because I don't have the right assets. That doesn't mean the game will be any worse. Even though the game will use the same models as before, you will still be able to enjoy the game and I will do everything I can to make it less noticeable.

There's not much to say about the music, sounds and cutscenes so far.

Final gameplay. What is that in general? From now on, we'll call it the gameplay from the end of the first chapter, so the final gameplay is what's finished, polished, with cutscenes and stuff.

I think that's all I can say for now.
