Project Core: DID (Final Demo)
Hi everyone!
Hey, just a heads-up:
Make sure you delete all save files in the game settings!
They won't work with this version and could crash the game.
I've been working on the "core" mechanics of the game for quite some time now, and for one of them I decided to update the demo version.
So what has changed?
First of all, as you may have noticed, the game officially has a different name. Why this name?
Well... that's a topic for another conversation.
I removed the "change stone color" mechanic and replaced it with another one.
So what is this mechanic?
It's called "alter ego".
Hope can change his alter ego, which allows him to pretend to be other characters he's met along the way and gives him some new abilities.
This also applies to Hope himself. As a playable character, he also has his own abilities. For example: Lunge and Orekh
At this point, 10 characters have been conceptualized and their development is well underway.
However, in what may seem like bad news to some, all of these characters will NOT appear in the demo version. Since this demo is the final version, this means that there will be NO new versions of the game until the game is released into Early Access.
What? Early Access?
Yes, that's right!
Chapters will be released one at a time, approximately every few months (the timing may change in the future). Why every few months? The tendency of developers to charge money for a game and release 'slices' of it once a year is something I find extremely stressful. But that's for the community to decide. But as a developer, I am against this practice.
Hey, let's not get off track here!
What else has changed in the game?
A TON of closed testing for bugs.
This is pretty tough, since there have been no bug reports from players, which is no surprise, since no one knows about the game yet. But, even so, i catch and fix the bugs :)
I'm tired of writing this post, so let me just write a list of patch notes.
